Website Terms of Use
These terms explain the reasonable rules for using the Lake & Line website and client portal. They are not a replacement for a managed website service agreement.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. Using the website and portal
These Website Terms of Use apply when you visit the Lake & Line website, submit an enquiry, or use an authorised Lake & Line client portal account. The website provides general information about Lake & Line and ways to enquire about, manage or support a service.
You may use it for lawful, genuine business purposes. Please do not interfere with the website or portal, attempt to bypass security, probe for vulnerabilities, use automated tools abusively, impersonate another person, upload malicious material, or seek access to another client's information or account.
2. Information on this website
We take reasonable care in preparing website information, but it is general information and may change. It is not a promise that every item is complete, current or suitable for every situation. Please contact Lake & Line if you need to confirm a service, price, availability or other important detail before relying on it.
3. Accounts, access and security
Portal access is limited to authorised users. Keep your sign-in details confidential, do not share your credentials with unauthorised people, provide accurate account information, and tell us promptly through the Lake & Line contact form if you suspect unauthorised access.
Access may be limited, suspended or removed where reasonably necessary to protect the service, client information, security, or compliance with these terms. We will not ask you to share another client's information, and you must not try to access it.
4. Managed website services
These terms govern use of the public website and portal only. A managed website service may also be governed by a separate proposal, service order, subscription arrangement or other agreement. Those service-specific arrangements are not replaced by these terms.
Nothing here changes any separate arrangement about a client's own domain, supplied content, website assets or transfer rights.
5. Intellectual property
Lake & Line retains its rights in website copy, branding, visual design, software, interface and original materials owned or developed by Lake & Line, unless a separate written arrangement says otherwise. You must not reproduce, adapt or use those materials beyond what is reasonably necessary to use the website or service without permission.
You remain responsible for having the right to provide any content, files, brands, images or other materials you upload or ask us to use. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners' rights and terms.
6. Availability, links and third-party services
We aim to keep the website and portal available, but maintenance, updates, provider issues and technical faults can interrupt access. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The website and portal may link to or use third-party services, including Stripe for billing. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. To the extent permitted by law, Lake & Line is not responsible for the content, practices or availability of external websites or services that it does not control.
7. Liability and Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Subject to those non-excludable rights, Lake & Line is not responsible for loss arising from use of general website information, external services or interruptions outside our reasonable control.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Lake & Line handles personal information in connection with the website, portal and services.
9. Changes and governing law
We may change these terms as the website or service changes. The current version will be published here with its last-updated date. These terms are governed by the laws in force in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws.
10. Contact
For questions about these terms, please contact Lake & Line through the website.
